Tears Like Stars is the last song I wrote for this album and the second single I put out for this project. I wasn't necessarily aiming to end the album on a sad note, but more so trying to put into perspective and summarize the whole album in one song. Tears Like Stars captures the moment of a couple finally getting to be together after a long period of time, but a lot like Separation Is Overdue, one of them has to leave eventually. But a lot like Permanent Love, the verses still show the commitment between the two even though distance is clearly an issue.
